About Infinity Ivy Consulting
Every year, over 62,000 students apply to medical school, yet only 42% are accepted, leaving the majority discouraged, misinformed, or forced to reapply.
In the residency world, the stakes are even higher—nearly 50% of non-U.S. IMGs and 28% of U.S. IMG applicants fail to match, and first-generation and nontraditional applicants face disproportionately lower interview rates.
What if these statistics weren’t reflections of ability, but reflections of a broken advising ecosystem that leaves the most promising candidates behind?
Infinity Ivy Consulting has worked with 300+ clients across 15+ countries to reverse these trends with data-driven strategy and elite interview preparation. A Yale-trained, Harvard-educated public health leader, Oxford business alumna, and physician innovator, Dr. Carpenter, Founder and CEO of Infinity Ivy Consulting, brings two decades of interdisciplinary expertise spanning medicine, education, admissions strategy, and leadership development.
She specializes in transforming outcomes for the students the system routinely forgets—first-generation applicants, re-applicants, IMGs, career changers, and nontraditional high-achievers. Under her guidance, applicants strengthen not just their materials, but their positioning, mindset, and professional identity.
“You’re not competing with thousands of applicants—you’re competing with the version of yourself that doesn’t have strategy,” she often tells her students. Her clients regularly earn interview invitations and acceptances at highly competitive medical schools and residency programs across the U.S. and abroad.
Infinity Ivy Consulting, under her leadership, has become a global force for applicants who refuse to be defined by statistics—and instead choose to become the outliers who redefine them.

Dr. Carpenter graduated as the Valedictorian of her high school, earning acceptances into multiple, elite colleges: Yale, Brown, Stanford, Dartmouth, Cornell, John Hopkins, Duke, Boston College, Boston University, Scripps College, UC Berkley, UCLA, UC San Diego.
She holds an MPH in Public Health Leadership from Harvard, an MBA from Oxford Said Business School, an MD from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, an EdM in Mind, Brain, and Education from Harvard Graduate School of Education, and a BA in Psychology and Behavioral Neuroscience from Yale University. She trained in Neurosurgery at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, and holds an active medical license in California.
Dr. Carpenter has taught multiple business, management, and public health courses, including Drug Discovery and Development, Entrepreneurial Management, Nonprofit Management, and Ethical and Legal Responsibilities for Managers. Since 2021, she has been Co-Editor-in-Chief of the Boston Congress of Public Health Review, an academic journal in public health.
Leveraging her extensive background and strength-based approach, Dr. Carpenter has equipped 300+ applicants across 15+ countries with the strategy, confidence, and preparation required to break through the toughest admissions barriers and secure placements in highly competitive programs.
Dr. Carpenter is the President/CEO/Founder of Infinity Ivy Consulting. The company is based out of Hollywood, CA, but works with students from around the world pursuing U.S. based medical, health, and dental programs.
Infinity Ivy accepts a limited number of clients per cycle to maintain advising quality and individualized strategy.
Dr. C was super helpful, offering insightful tips, while also giving me confidence before my upcoming medical school interview! Would definitely recommend her for anyone needing additional preparation for an interview!!
Lydnsey, Pre-Med Student

Dr. C conducted a professional mock interview with me for residency applications. She gave me thorough feedback and great advice for improving my answers and overall performance. I also really appreciated having a recording of our conversation to further evaluate myself at a later time point. Thank you, Dr Carpenter!
